The Penfold DM story to date:
Rising from the ashes of a much maligned and misunderstood music collective known as “The Four Fishermen From The County of Kildare”, like a lazy bear awaking from a winter slumber in search of it’s first kill of a new season, Penfold dm, emerged with a common goal which they had been striving towards since birth – GLOBAL DOMINATION.
A full-blown national onslaught ensued, with packed gigs in The Sugar Club and Whelans in Dublin, as well as venues in Wicklow, Mullingar, Limerick and Roscommon amongst others, most notably their now regional HQ in Dingle, Co. Kerry.
The next step was to record and release a mini-album entitled “Mama Lou Funk’s Big Night Out”, from which, they released the download-only single “Bus Ride”, which reached No. 20 in the Irish Singles Chart, as well as being No. 1 on the Download Music Chart. The song was also used as the lead song in the Irish League of Credit Unions “CU 4 Youth” DVD which was distributed to 20,000 schools nationwide.
National radio play and newspaper coverage followed, along with ego-boosting and quite embarrassing levels of hero worship, but the band has not allowed this to distract them from their primary goal. With a new single and album in the pipeline, the future looks bright, and only bad things can befall those who may try to stand in their way…

I made this album that maybe you’d be interested in. It has tall tales, big brass, quiet melodies and sometimes a pop song breaks out. There is a journal on my site of how I started it without a clue, lost faith in it more often than not and bizarrely managed to finish it - finished recording it, then finished mixing it then finished pressing and printing it. The album is called YOU’RE AN ELCTRON I’M AN ELECTRON
